Packaging
The Body
Shop Pink Grapefruit Body Sorbet comes in an inverted tube containing 200 ml of
sorbet. The tube is matte and transparent, so I always know when I’m running
out of the product. It has a flip open cap which closes with a click so I don’t
need to dip my hands in the tub. It will keep its hygiene, right?

What’s
inside?
One thing makes
me loooove in using TBS products is their commitment in Community Trade, launched in 1987. It is their commitment to trading fairly with suppliers and
in exchange they offer good trading practices and independence building prices.
We can see it from the product ingredient.
We harness
the expertise and knowledge of small-scale farmers all over the world to
provide us with the finest ingredients. Through our partnership, we provide
these local communities fair wages, employment opportunities and a better
lifestyle.
- The Body Shop
The key
ingredient of TBS Pink Grapefruit Body Sorbet is Aloe. In my latest post
I’ve written about the amazing benefit of Aloe vera soothing gel and now
one more we’ll talk about the plant. Here I quoted from The Body Shop USA, “Our Community Trade organic
aloe Vera comes from the rich and bio-diverse south-east Mexico, on the Yucatán
peninsula. We work with the Campeche Farmers, who cultivate Aloe vera
plants on organically-certified land, close to three precious rainforest
biosphere reserves. They supply The Body Shop with 100% organic,
preservative-free concentrated aloe Vera gel for our Aloe skincare range. The
Body Shop's Aloe range helps to minimize the signs of sensitivity to soothe signs
of irritation and with regular use will help build the skin's natural defense
against skin aggressors”.

See? TBS
claimed Aloe vera as the key ingredient but it listed at the very bottom
(right before the colorant), seems like it doesn't appear to be a whole lot of Aloe
vera here.
Texture
When I first
opened the spout, I instantly fell in love with the fragrance; it stays on
throughout the day. And the texture is a little bit strange for me. Haha… I
took me a little while to get used to how different it is from the regular
lotions and butters (and I couldn’t find any of my lotions with a similar
texture). It is very thick. Maybe it is more like gel/mousse texture with a
little bit powdery.

How to Use
Glide onto
skin and enjoy the frosted moisture sensation all over your body. Insider’s
tip: Put your Body Sorbet in the fridge for an even more refreshing moisture
sensation.

Results
I’m totally
in love with the grapefruit fragrance; this is the best part of the product. It
makes me feel fresh. When I glide it onto my skin, the thick texture is
spreading a gel that dries to a powder-like finish. This product is non-sticky
and absorbs super-fast. It makes my dry skin feel much hydrated but not oily
and if I'm putting it on before bed I feel like it's hydrating my skin. I use
it more for the sweet fruity fragrance, not as a daily body lotion since it
gives a light hydration and I need more protection from UV. As this product is
marketed as a summer product, I’m not experiencing the cooling sensation (like
menthol), except I keep it in the fridge like an hour before using the product.
How to Buy
The Body
Shop products are such easy-peasy products to find. You can get them in all TBS
stores, or you just need to grab your gadgets and do online shopping on the TBS Indonesia web. TBS Pink Grapefruit Body
Sorbet price is IDR 189.000,00.
If you like
the fruit scent products, then The Body Shop Pink Grapefruit Body Sorbet is
worth a try. And if you asking me about repurchasing the product or not, the
answer is a yes. Definitely YES! I want to repurchase it and the other variants
too (if only my money is unlimited). Haha…
What’s your
favorite body sorbet? Kinda love to hear it from you!
Love,
Esa
